RON95 gasoline prices have dropped sharply by nearly 3000 VND.
Fuel prices were adjusted downwards sharply at 3:30 PM on April 9th, especially RON95 gasoline, which dropped by nearly 3000 VND.
Specifically, according to a joint decision by the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, from 3:30 PM today, the price of RON95 gasoline will decrease by nearly 3,000 VND/liter, bringing the retail price down to a maximum of 23,543 VND/liter.
E5 RON92 gasoline also decreased by nearly 2,400 VND/liter, to no more than 22,344 VND/liter.
In the oil sector, the decline was even more significant. Diesel fuel fell by nearly 10,000 VND/liter, reaching a maximum of 32,969 VND/liter.
Fuel oil prices fell by 1,650 VND/kg, to no more than 22,613 VND/kg.
During this price adjustment period, the regulatory agency did not utilize the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund. Instead, it continued to allocate funds at a rate of 800 VND/liter (kg) for bio-gasoline, RON95 gasoline, and fuel oil; while diesel was allocated at 1,000 VND/liter.
This significant price reduction has helped to cool down fuel prices considerably after a period of high levels, thereby contributing to easing pressure on transportation and production costs. However, the sharp drop in diesel prices reflects significant fluctuations in the global market, so domestic prices could still change rapidly in future price adjustments.
