The VinFast VF 5 continues to assert its position in the A-segment SUV market with a price of 529 million VND, accompanied by a registration fee exemption policy extended until the end of February 2027.
The VinFast VF 5 is an A+ segment electric SUV that made its global debut at CES 2022 (Las Vegas, USA). Since its official launch in Vietnam in December 2022, this model has quickly become a strong competitor to gasoline-powered vehicles such as the KIA Sonet, Toyota Raize, and Hyundai Venue, thanks to its optimized operating costs and superior safety technology.

Below is the list price and estimated on-the-road cost for the VinFast VF 5, updated as of January 2026. Notably, the Government has issued Decree 51/2025/ND-CP extending the 100% exemption from registration fees for battery-powered electric vehicles until February 28, 2027.

Regarding after-sales policy, VinFast officially discontinued its battery leasing policy on March 1, 2025. To support users, the company extended the free battery charging policy for another 6 months, until December 31, 2027, for customers who own electric vehicles with batteries.

Designed by two renowned design studios, Torino Design and Pininfarina, the VinFast VF 5 boasts a compact yet muscular appearance. With overall dimensions of 3,965 x 1,720 x 1,580 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,513 mm, maneuverability in crowded urban areas is effortless.

The front of the car is striking with its signature V-shaped chrome strip. Large halogen headlights are positioned low, combined with embossed lines on the hood to create a robust look. The body is highlighted by 17-inch five-spoke wheels, fitted with Pirelli P-Zero tires in size 225/40R17.

Minimalist and modern interior design.
The dashboard of the VinFast VF 5 is designed with a minimalist philosophy, focusing on the user experience. Instead of traditional analog gauges, it features a 7-inch LCD screen displaying driving information. At the center is an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting voice-controlled virtual assistants.

All five seats in the car are upholstered in faux leather with contrasting stitching. The second row of seats can be folded down in a 60:40 ratio to expand the luggage compartment. Notably, the car is equipped with a PM 2.5 fine dust filter system, ensuring good air quality inside the cabin.

ADAS operational capabilities and safety technology
The VinFast VF 5 uses an electric motor with a maximum power output of 100 kW (equivalent to 134 horsepower) and a maximum torque of 135 Nm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a single-speed gearbox. The 37.23 kWh lithium battery pack provides a range of over 300 km (NEDC standard) on a single full charge. Fast charging from 10-80% takes only about 30 minutes.

The most outstanding feature of the VF 5 in its segment is its advanced ADAS driver assistance system with features such as adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and door open warning. The car also boasts a full range of standard safety equipment including 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, BA, and electronic stability control.
