Notably, according to Decree 51/2025/ND-CP, the policy of 100% exemption from registration fees for battery-powered electric vehicles has been extended until February 28, 2027, helping to optimize the on-the-road costs for Vietnamese customers.

Besides price incentives, VinFast has also made significant changes to its operational policies. Simultaneously, customers who own vehicles with batteries will have their free battery charging policy extended for another six months, until June 30th, 2027.
Exterior design based on the Dynamic Balancing design language.
The VinFast VF 8 has dimensions of 4,750 x 1,900 x 1,660 mm (length x width x height), with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm. The car is designed according to the "Dynamic Balance" design language, creating a harmonious blend of soft lines and the strong structure of a mid-size SUV.

The front of the car is striking with its distinctive V-shaped LED light strip, encompassing the VinFast logo. The full LED lighting system, along with aerodynamically optimized air vents, effectively cools the battery pack. The car offers six diverse exterior paint color options: White (Brahminy White), Red (Crimson Red), Gray (Neptune Grey), Black (Jet Black), Blue (VinFast Blue), and Moss Green (Deep Ocean).
Minimalist interior design and AI virtual assistants create a dynamic environment.
The VF 8's cabin is optimized with a minimalist yet technologically advanced design. The centerpiece is a 15.6-inch touchscreen integrating all control functions, completely replacing the traditional instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. The gear shift buttons are subtly designed as push buttons on the large armrest.

Notably, the VF 8 is one of the pioneering models to apply generative AI technology to its virtual assistant. This technology allows the car to interact with users more naturally, capable of self-learning and updating real-world information from the internet to accurately respond to complex queries. This feature is currently available on the Plus version and will soon be updated to the Eco version via software.
Superior performance and safety
The VinFast VF 8 uses a full-time all-wheel drive (AWD) system for both versions. The Eco version produces 350 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, with a range of 471 km. Meanwhile, the Plus version achieves up to 402 horsepower and 620 Nm of torque, allowing the car to travel approximately 457 km on a single charge (according to CATL standards).

In terms of safety, the vehicle is equipped with 11 airbags and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) package including: adaptive cruise control (ACC), Stop & Go, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, and a 360-degree camera. This model also meets the strictest safety standards from NHTSA, Euro NCAP, and ASEAN NCAP.
Overall, with the advantage of lower on-the-road costs thanks to tax policies and incentives from the manufacturer, the VinFast VF 8 continues to be a worthwhile option compared to gasoline-powered competitors in the same segment such as the Hyundai Santa Fe or Ford Everest.
