Vietnamese football tournament in Thailand aims to support Central Vietnam.

(Baonghean.vn) - On October 9th, in Bangkok, the Vietnamese community in Thailand organized a football tournament to raise funds to help people in Central Vietnam after Typhoon No. 10.

Following the damage caused by Typhoon No. 10 to people in Central Vietnam, the Vietnamese community in Thailand organized a charity football tournament titled "Towards Central Vietnam".

The tournament features 8 teams competing in 2 groups, playing over one day. This is a football tournament for the children of Vietnamese people living, studying, and working in Thailand, with the majority being from Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Thanh Hoa provinces.

After many exciting and captivating matches, the organizers awarded the Cup and first, second, and third prizes to the winning teams. In addition, the tournament raised 80,000 Thai Baht (equivalent to 50 million VND) for a charity fund to help people in Central Vietnam.

Following Typhoon No. 10, with a spirit of mutual support and compassion, a fundraising campaign to help people in Central Vietnam has been taking place in various forms within the Vietnamese community in Thailand.

This is the second time the Vietnamese community in Thailand has organized a football tournament to show their support for their homeland.
