Effectively solve emerging problems right from the grassroots

According to the report of the Internal Affairs Committee, in April 2017, the sectors in the internal affairs sector coordinated to implement many measures and plans, achieving many results in all aspects of work, focusing on speeding up the resolution of important tasks... so the internal affairs work in the area has achieved many important results in all fields.

Functional sectors have done a good job of investigating, prosecuting, and enforcing civil judgments to ensure quality, the right person, the right crime, and the right law.

Inspection and examination work was carried out synchronously, detecting and proposing timely handling; fire prevention and fighting work was carried out promptly; judicial work was carried out effectively; many acts related to smuggling, trade fraud, acts related to forest products were arrested and handled, and large sums of money were collected for the state budget.

During the month, 142 cases and 144 subjects were discovered and arrested for economic and environmental crimes and violations (an increase of 45 cases and 43 subjects compared to the previous month). 120 cases of social evils were discovered and arrested, 505 subjects were arrested for gambling. Typically, two subjects were arrested for gambling and organizing gambling through the form of betting via the internet, with a total amount equivalent to 900 billion VND.

Although the Party Committee, the government and the relevant agencies have strengthened coordination in implementing many measures and plans to ensure security and order, many complicated incidents continue to occur, typically the case of some extremist religious dignitaries propagating, distorting and inciting events after 1 year of the environmental pollution incident in the central coastal region caused by Hung Nghiep Formosa Company Limited, causing disorder and insecurity in the area.

At the conference, after listening to the report of the Internal Affairs Committee, the delegates discussed the results achieved as well as the key directions and tasks of the Internal Affairs bloc to be implemented in May 2017.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Van Thong requested the sectors in the Internal Affairs sector to focus on coordinating and implementing many measures to ensure political security, social order and safety, fire and explosion prevention, not to let passive and unexpected situations occur; promptly detect and strictly and legally handle opposing elements.
