The Director of the Provincial Police Department attended the National Unity Day celebration in Ky Son.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, November 13th, Major General Pham The Tung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department - attended and celebrated the National Unity Day with the people of Pieng Pho village, Pha Danh commune (Ky Son district).
Also attending were Comrade Vi Hoè - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council; Comrade Colonel Tran Ngoc Tuan - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police; along with representatives of the leaders of functional departments of the Provincial Police; leaders of the District People's Committee, the District Fatherland Front Committee, the District Police, and a large number of people from Pieng Pho village, Pha Danh commune.

Joining in the joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere of the National Unity Day, delegates and people of Piêng Phô, Phà Đánh commune, together reviewed the glorious traditions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front over its 93 years of construction, development, and growth. They also looked back at the results of implementing the campaigns and movements "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized villages" in the locality.
Pieng Pho village has 73 households with 294 inhabitants; four ethnic groups – Thai, Kinh, Mong, and Kho Mu – live together. Over the past period, under the leadership of the Party branch and the efforts of the Front Committee, the cadres and people of the village have consistently complied with the Party's policies and the State's laws; they have worked together to develop the economy, build a cultural life, and actively participate in patriotic emulation movements.


In 2023, the average per capita income was approximately 18 million VND. All children attended school, with no dropouts; outdated customs and practices were eliminated, and the ethnic cultural identity was preserved. Security and order in the villages were maintained, family and village conflicts were promptly resolved, and the solidarity among the people in the villages was continuously strengthened.
Playing a leading role, the Front Committee of the village launched many effective movements such as the movement to eradicate hunger and reduce poverty, the movement to build the "Fund for the Poor," coordinating with other departments and organizations to do well in the movement to report and detect crimes, rehabilitate and educate offenders to return to the community, combat the re-cultivation of opium poppies, combat illegal proselytization, and illegal migration... which received widespread support from the people.

Speaking at the festival, Major General Pham The Tung, Director of the Provincial Police, expressed his admiration for the unique cultural features and the joyful, warm, harmonious, and united atmosphere of the people participating in the festival. At the same time, Major General Pham The Tung acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements in many fields made by the officials and people of Pieng Pho village, Pha Danh commune.
The Director of the Provincial Public Security Department also requested that the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels continue to further promote their role in gathering the strength of national unity, acting as a reliable "bridge" between the people and the Party committees and government at all levels to strongly promote the construction and development of socio-economic affairs, improve people's lives, and ensure that no one is left behind.

The Party committees and authorities at all levels in Ky Son district regularly pay attention to leading, directing, and further strengthening the great national unity; effectively implementing propaganda and mobilization work to consolidate and expand the great unity among ethnic groups, maintaining security and order in the area; innovating and building models and exemplary cases in various fields of social life, economic development, and poverty reduction...
In particular, every citizen must constantly strive, work diligently in production, innovate, and rise above poverty to achieve legitimate wealth; maintain unwavering faith in the leadership of the Party and the State, and not allow hostile forces or evil elements to exploit, incite, and provoke opposition, causing political insecurity and social disorder. They must promote and preserve traditions and cultural values, effectively implement the criteria for building culturally advanced families, villages, and civilized lifestyles, and together build developed communities, from which developed communities will create a developed society and a developed country.


On this occasion, the Director of the Provincial Police Department presented 30 gift packages (each worth 500,000 VND and 10 kg of rice) to poor and extremely disadvantaged households; and presented 10 gift packages from the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to 10 disadvantaged families in the area.
