Bao Thanh parishioners donate 2,000 m2 to build new rural areas

(Baonghean.vn) - Catholics in Bao Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district (Nghe An) donated 2,000m2land to pave the way to join hands in building new countryside.

Promoting the spirit of solidarity, people in the commune actively compete in labor production, change the structure of crops and livestock, and apply scientific and technological advances. In recent years, parishioners in the commune have built 22 highly effective economic development models.

Especially implementing "joining hands to build new countryside", parishioners voluntarily donated over 2,000 m2land, demolishing many kiosks, houses, and surrounding walls to open roads. Up to now, the roads have been basically concreted, typically Bao Nham parish has completed 1.6 km, Tan Phong parish has solidified 0.4 km. At the same time, parishioners have actively contributed to charity, helping hundreds of poor people; the rate of cultural families in the parishes has reached 80-81%.
