Land transactions in many mountainous districts of Nghe An are sluggish.
(Baonghean.vn) - Unlike the excitement of the plains and cities, the land market in the mountainous districts of Nghe An is very quiet. Many areas have even planned and built infrastructure but cannot sell land.
For example, Tan Lac town, Quy Chau district, is located right in the center of the district but land is very difficult to trade. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong - a land officer of Tan Lac town said: From 2016 to now, the town has planned over 15 residential land lots but had to go through 2-3 auctions to sell 10 lots, currently there are 5 lots that have not been sold.

The reason why land here is difficult to sell is because economic conditions in the mountainous areas are still difficult; land locations are not close to the national highway, making it difficult to make a profit, so few people buy.
Since the beginning of 2018, Quy Chau district has auctioned 55 land lots but only sold 5 land lots in Tan Lac town worth 1.6 billion VND. Many communes still have unsold land such as Chau Phong commune with 20 lots left, Chau Nga commune with over 20 lots left... In 2018, the province assigned a target of over 3 billion VND but it seems difficult to achieve.
Similarly, Anh Son district also has many communes with unsold land auctions. A typical example is Thanh Son commune, in 2018 the commune planned to auction 12 land lots with a starting price of 1 million VND/m2 and announced that the land auction would be held on September 28, but no one submitted an application so the auction had to be canceled.

According to the representative of the Finance and Planning Department of Anh Son district, from 2016 to present, Anh Son district still has over 70 plots of land that have been planned for land auction but have not been sold. The most are in Cam Son commune (47 plots), Thach Son (10 plots), Dinh Son (10 plots)...
Through the survey, it can be seen that land in mountainous districts and semi-mountainous areas is difficult to sell. In fact, the demand for residential land of the people is still there, but due to financial difficulties, banks tighten lending restrictions, so low-income people who want to buy land cannot afford to participate in auctions. Meanwhile, there are not many "profitable" land lots in mountainous areas. The above factors have affected the results of land auctions in mountainous districts, affecting the general budget revenue.
