Teachers in Nghe An province give their assessment of the 10th grade entrance exam in Mathematics.

This year's math exam has 5 problems and its structure is quite familiar to many candidates.

Commenting on this year's exam, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, a math teacher at Dang Chanh Ky Secondary School in Nam Dan, said: "The structure of this year's exam is basically the same as in the last three years, covering the entire 9th-grade curriculum and being easier. This is suitable for the situation where students have had to study online for a long time. In addition, the exam included a real-life event related to the SEA Games in Vietnam, which made it more interesting for students."

According to the exam structure, the easy questions for average students are questions 1, 2a, 3, and 4a. The more challenging questions are 4b and 5. To solve question 4b, students must know how to apply methods for proving three points are collinear to choose the appropriate solution. To solve question 5, students must know how to guess the solution and use conjugate multiplication, eliminating cases to find the correct solution.

With this exam, average students can score 5-7 points. Above-average students can score 7.5 points or higher, and exceptionally talented students who are meticulous can score 9.5-10 points, but these scores will not be common.

Sharing the same opinion, teacher Pham Thi Lien from the LOVE MATH Self-Study Math Training Center also commented: This year's 10th grade entrance exam in Mathematics closely followed the 9th grade curriculum, being clear and concise. The basic knowledge was covered in the first three questions. Question 2b, however, differentiated between average and above-average students; it wasn't easy to score points on, but it was a familiar question from the past three years. If students practiced thoroughly and mastered this type of question, they wouldn't encounter any difficulties.

Question 3 is a math problem with interesting and meaningful data related to the SEA Games 31, but it's presented in an easy-to-understand way. Students can easily identify the type of problem and solve it.

Question 4 in geometry, with parts 4b and 4c, clearly differentiated students based on their abilities. Many candidates shared this opinion after completing the exam. Question 5, in particular, was difficult; achieving a perfect score on this question required a student who was excellent or specialized in mathematics.

Following the conclusion of the 10th grade entrance exam, according to the Department of Education and Training's report, 139 candidates were absent from the exam throughout the province; 5 candidates violated exam regulations at the exam centers of Nguyen Sy Sach High School, Kim Lien High School, Cua Lo 2 High School, Nguyen Xuan On High School, and Anh Son 3 High School. No invigilators violated exam regulations. No unusual incidents occurred. The exam was conducted safely and in accordance with regulations.
