"After receiving information that the Ministry of Education and Training plans to select History as one of the four compulsory subjects in the high school graduation exam from 2025, as a History teacher, I find this a good sign. Because, first of all, in my opinion, society in general and the Ministry of Education and Training in particular have correctly assessed the role and position of History in general schools. If implemented, this will create a breakthrough for History in school teaching.
Besides, before this information, I also have certain concerns. First is about the structure of the subjects.graduation examIn what direction will high school change? Because before there were 3 compulsory subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language and students could choose 1 of 2 groups: Natural Science and Social Science. When History becomes a compulsory subject, the structure of the subjects will certainly have to change.

Second, about textbooks, I think that the effectiveness of the new textbooks has not been specifically evaluated, whether there will be a clear change in quality in the next 2 years or not. And third, when choosing to make History a compulsory subject, the Ministry of Education and Training will develop a roadmap, plan, especially the testing method, test papers, and test format. That will have a big impact on each school and each History teacher.
For our school, if this plan is implemented, our professional team will discuss and research the teaching and review plan together, ensuring the exam program. Hopefully, the Ministry will soon announce the exam format and method so that teachers can soon have orientation for students."

"History is a subject that plays a key role in fostering patriotism and national pride. Thereby, it contributes to forming the qualities of a Vietnamese citizen - a global citizen in the new era. Therefore, the Ministry of Education and Training has decided to make History a compulsory subject in the high school curriculum.
Currently, the Ministry has planned to make History a compulsory subject in the 2025 high school graduation exam. Before that information, teacherTeaching History, we believe that it is the right direction, a necessary thing for a subject with a position like History.
If this plan is implemented, it will create great motivation for students to learn and love this subject and receive the attention of public opinion. I myself think that this information will also receive the consensus of parents, students as well as history teachers.

Right from this school year, when History became a compulsory subject in the general education program, the school had strong instructions, requiring teachers to closely follow the curriculum and review for students right from the 10th grade. The new program has overcome the limitation of knowledge burden, focusing on helping students understand basic values and improving their qualities and abilities.
Therefore, right from the beginning of the school year, students are oriented to closely follow the program content, creating conditions for them to be mentally comfortable, not pressured to review, ensuring they have enough knowledge to take the graduation exam and be able to enroll in universities.
With the innovation in the curriculum and teaching methods, I feel that students are more interested and love History and are not as pressured as before.

"I have also received information that the Ministry of Education and Training plans to make History a compulsory subject in the high school exam from 2025. If applied, as a 10th grade student, I strongly agree with this. Because History is a subject of great significance, first of all, it helps us understand the process of formation and development of thousands of years of national history. From there, foster pride and a sense of responsibility to build and protect the homeland and country.

Studying History also helps us know about world history, understand more clearly about the development process of humanity. Through that, it helps us draw lessons, serve our current life and orient our way to the future.
Through the Ministry of Education and Training's plan to make History a national subject, compulsory subjectIt is also a challenge for us. Because the knowledge of History is very vast, with thousands of years of development and very long journeys, I hope that the school and teachers have a thorough teaching and review plan. And my friends and I are determined to review diligently and seriously to achieve good results in the graduation exam taking place in 2025."
