Lap Thach Parish organizes the weekly Mass for the rotation of parishioners.
(Baonghean.vn) - Through the prayer ceremony, Bishop Nguyen Van Vien and the priests participating in the Mass invited the parishioners present to pray for the speedy recovery of the victims of the Covid-19 pneumonia pandemic.
On the morning of March 1st, the culminating Mass of the Week of Adoration in Reparation to Jesus Christ took place at Lap Thach Parish in Nghi Thach commune, Nghi Loc district. Attending the Mass were Bishop Nguyen Van Vien (Auxiliary Bishop of Vinh Diocese), along with numerous invited priests, local priests, and parishioners from within and outside Lap Thach Parish, as well as from neighboring parishes in the Cua Lo deanery.

As usual, at the parish's main Mass, the sacraments, rites, and homilies were celebrated, reiterating the importance of the week of adoration; calling on the parishioners to participate in the Mass, turning towards Jesus with solemnity and reverence, and praying for the successful completion of the parish's main Mass of the week of adoration.
In particular, through the prayer service, Bishop Nguyen Van Vien and the priests participating in the Mass invited the parishioners present to pray for the speedy recovery of the victims of the Covid-19 pneumonia pandemic; for researchers and doctors to quickly find solutions to stop the epidemic; and for those who have died from the disease. At the same time, they were urged to take practical actions to help combat the pandemic as recommended by health authorities and experts.

Located approximately 20 km southeast of the Xã Đoài Bishopric, Lập Thạch Parish, belonging to the Cửa Lò Deanery, was established in 1919 from its mother parish, Làng Anh (Nghi Phong commune, Nghi Lộc district). It comprises three sub-parishes (Lập Thạch, Đông Thành, and Cao Thạch) with approximately 4,000 parishioners; currently, Father Joseph Phạm Ngọc Quang serves as the parish priest. The livelihoods of the parishioners in the area are primarily based on agriculture, with some service industries.
