On December 17th, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Nghi Loc District Police initiated a case, charged and detained Nguyen Dinh Anh (born in 1993), residing in Hamlet 1, Nghi Hoa Commune, for the crime of robbery.

Earlier, at 11:45 AM on December 11th, the Nghi Loc District Police received a report that at 11:00 AM the same day, a snatching incident occurred on Provincial Road 535, in Xuan Nghia hamlet, Nghi Xuan commune, Nghi Loc district. The victim was Ms. Phan Thi Ngoc (born in 1984), residing in Chau Quang commune, Quy Hop district. The perpetrator was a young man riding a white and blue Jupiter motorbike, with the last two digits of the license plate obscured.

Under the direct command of Major Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Deputy Head of the Criminal Investigation Agency of Nghi Loc District Police, the District Police's General Investigation Team conducted a swift investigation. Based on motorcycle records, combined with the suspect's identifying characteristics and the vehicle used in the crime, at 12:30 PM on the same day, the investigating agency arrested Nguyen Dinh Anh at his home.

The recovered evidence included a yellow handbag containing 11 million VND in cash, some foreign currency, and jewelry. The vehicle used in the crime was a white and blue Jupiter motorbike with license plate 37K1 709.29.

When arrested, Nguyen Dinh Anh denied the crime. However, through questioning, he confessed that at the time, he was riding his motorbike along Provincial Road 535 to the Cua Hoi area to look for work. When he arrived at Xuan Nghia hamlet, Nghi Xuan commune, he spotted Ms. Ngoc riding a motorbike with a yellow handbag hanging from her arm, and he snatched it. After returning home, he washed his motorbike, ate dinner, and then went to a neighbor's house to visit.

In addition to the aforementioned robbery, the suspect Anh also committed three other robberies. The Nghi Loc Police are currently verifying the suspect's statements and investigating the case.
