According to RIA Novosti on March 17, NBC News, citing reliable sources, reported that the military had presented US President Donald Trump with options to end the conflict with Iran if the American leader so desired.

"Military officials have included options in their war plans to end the conflict in Iran should President Donald Trump decide to do so," NBC News reported.

According to NBC sources, the military plan includes options to limit conflict and to de-escalate conflict should the White House seek to increase pressure on Iran. However, the sources did not disclose details about the options proposed to President Trump.

Amidst the escalating conflict in the Middle East, the roadmap and specific terms for ending the war remain uncertain. Internal factions within the White House are divided: one group of aides, concerned about global economic instability, is urging an early withdrawal strategy; while the other wants to seize the opportunity to diminish Iran's influence in the region.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said President Trump and the Pentagon initially projected it would take four to six weeks to "fully achieve clear military objectives." She affirmed that the U.S. military is performing its mission excellently and that this timeline remains feasible. However, the timing of the operation's conclusion depends entirely on the Commander-in-Chief's assessment that the Iranian threats have been eliminated.

Nevertheless, troop withdrawal strategies are becoming more urgent than ever as the Trump administration faces soaring oil prices. Skepticism about whether Iran will agree to lay down its weapons and accept U.S. terms is also growing.

Last week, while President Trump optimistically predicted on Axios that the war would be "over soon," his Secretary of Defense stated on CBS News that this was "just the beginning." When asked about when the conflict would end, Trump replied on Fox News: "When I feel it in my blood."
