Western analysts: Kursk will change the situation of the Ukraine conflict
Western analysts believe that the Kursk "hotspot" of fighting will change the situation of the Ukrainian conflict, and the opportunity to seek peace through negotiations has ended.

According to RIA Novosti on August 19, commenting on the invasion of the Kursk region of Russia by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Irish journalist Chey Bowes said that the consequences of this will change the situation of the entire Ukrainian conflict, but not in Kiev's favor.
“Kursk will change the course of the war. The Ukrainian armed forces will deplete their vital reserves and Russia’s attitude towards Ukraine will only harden. This will also worsen Kiev’s ability to defend itself in the East, where Russian attacks are increasing,” said journalist Chey Bowes.
Former Pentagon adviser Colonel Douglas McGregor said in an interview that after the invasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region, the chances of finding peace through negotiations have significantly decreased.
“Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that there will be no negotiations with Kiev. So if at this stage there was any possibility of resolving the issues between Russia and Ukraine through negotiations, then after the events in Kursk that opportunity has ended,” Colonel McGregor said.
According to the former Pentagon adviser, the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have put Kiev in danger and could deal a fatal blow to the government of President Zelensky.
