Introducing the title of First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union.

The 14th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, 10th term, voted to nominate Mr. Le Quoc Phong to be presented to the Executive Committee for election to the position of First Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union.

First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union Nguyen Dac Vinh delivered the opening speech at the Conference.

On the afternoon of April 20th, the 14th Conference of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, 10th term, opened in Hanoi. In his opening remarks, Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, expressed his hope that the members of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Youth Union would dedicate ample time to studying the documents and engaging in discussions and exchanges in a spirit of innovation, ensuring that the conference program is implemented effectively and efficiently.

According to the program, the 14th Conference of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, 10th term, will focus on reviewing some solutions to promote the work of nurturing young talents within the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, 2014-2017; and on some solutions to strengthen the core political role of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in the Vietnam Youth Union, the Vietnam Student Union, and other Vietnamese youth organizations.

The conference also discussed: “Plan for the thorough understanding, study, and dissemination of the Resolution of the 12th National Congress of the Party”; “Action Program of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to implement the Resolution of the 12th National Congress of the Party”; “Plan for organizing Youth Union congresses at all levels leading up to the 11th National Youth Union Congress, term 2017-2022”; “Outline of some basic contents to be studied in preparation for the documents of the 11th National Youth Union Congress”; and personnel matters.

The 14th meeting of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, 10th term, also voted to nominate Mr. Le Quoc Phong, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, and President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, for the position of First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union. The result was 29 out of 29 votes in favor of nominating Mr. Le Quoc Phong to be presented to the Central Committee for election as First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union.

The meeting of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union will take place tomorrow (April 21).
