Teaching and learning history has always been a crucial aspect of education and training in every nation, as well as in building and nurturing the character of each individual. Especially for the young generation of Nghe An, born and raised in the "cradle" of great heroes and patriots, studying history is also a way to preserve the identity of their homeland and pass on to future generations a sense of pride in their historically significant land.

Learn about and explore the cultural heritage of your homeland.

Modern education increasingly emphasizes hands-on experiences, helping students not only acquire knowledge but also have the opportunity to explore, develop skills, and better understand the world around them. Responding to this trend, many high schools in Nghe An province have organized experiential learning sessions and field trips to historical sites and scenic spots, as well as participating in exhibitions and displays promoting the valuable cultural heritage of the locality.

In recent years, stage performances such as cultural events celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th or large-scale national music events have become opportunities for young people to express their love for their homeland and country, and to praise the unique cultural values of the nation through art.

The youth of Nghe An have also been catching up with this trend, proactively, creatively, and confidently bringing the beauty of national identity to the stage. The unique combination of traditional and modern art is proof that the younger generation understands and appreciates the value of the nation's cultural heritage in the context of global integration.

These creative performances not only offer viewers new experiences but also create a strong bridge between generations. Combining traditional instruments like the flute and zither with modern musical genres such as rap, dance, and contemporary singing has helped convey messages about patriotism and the strength of national culture in a more accessible and relatable way for today's youth.

In particular, this creative work also reflects the aspirations of the younger generation for a Vietnam that is "integrated but not assimilated," embracing the changes of the times without obscuring the core values of the nation.

By harmonizing the old and the new, young people not only revive traditional values but also affirm that national culture always has strong vitality, capable of adapting and thriving in the digital age and globalization.

Promoting local historical and cultural sites through social media.

With the development of social media platforms, creating Fanpages or groups on Facebook to promote and provide information about national cultural heritage is common among patriotic young people in Vietnam. And the youth of Nghe An are no exception. Recently, a fanpage called "Nghe An History - Nghe An Chronophile," created by students from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, has attracted much attention and followers.

The founder of the Fanpage stated: “We created this page with the aim of fostering love for our homeland among students in Nghe An province by providing materials and images about historical and cultural relics in the province. The page is written in both Vietnamese and English to convey content to friends both domestically and internationally in the most accurate and authentic way.”

Regarding the meaning of the page's name, the founders shared: "Chrono is a prefix in English, referring to time, while phile is a suffix signifying passion or love. After careful research, we decided to name the page 'Nghe An Chronophile' to express our passion for exploring the cultural beauty, history, and traditional values of Nghe An, the land where we were born and raised."

Over the past period, the page has posted a lot of content about historical and cultural relics in the province such as Truong Bon, Vinh Ancient Citadel, etc., and most recently, the page launched the campaign "Key to the Relics - Learn about relics through QR codes" which has been widely embraced by young people.

The information hidden within the QR code includes details and images of nearly 20 historical sites and scenic spots in the province. This facilitates learning about historical and cultural relics without having to search through multiple sources. The establishment of the page and the campaign "Key to the Relics - Understanding Relics through QR Codes" partly shows a positive sign in the reception, preservation, and promotion of traditional historical and cultural values by young people in Nghe An province.
