4 key issues to consider in propaganda work.

I spent some time working in propaganda at all levels, from city to province. On the occasion of the Day of Ideology and Culture, I have a few thoughts about the field of propaganda.

The first,Currently, alongside manifestations of ideological, political, moral, and lifestyle degradation affecting the people's trust in the Party, hostile forces both domestically and internationally are also striving to undermine the ideological foundation of our Party. Therefore, those working in propaganda are the "shock troops" on the ideological and cultural front.Protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

Monday,Along with protecting the Party's ideological foundation, propaganda work must also be at the center of the political task that our Party has identified as "economic and social development as the central focus." Ideological work in the economic sphere needs to be thoroughly understood regarding the socialist-oriented market economy, and to effectively organize economic linkages to create commodity production in accordance with objective laws and socialist orientation. In particular, in the agricultural economic sector and the economic development of the Western region, if we do not innovate our thinking and have a correct understanding, our agriculture will struggle to develop rapidly and sustainably, and the Western region will struggle to escape poverty as determined in the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.

Tuesday,Current ideological work must make good use of scientific and technological factors to create new strength in the struggle on the ideological front, because nowadays science and technology allow us to use many modern, highly accessible means that have a rapid and strong impact.

Wednesday,Ideological work in particular, and propaganda work in general, is a front, and this front requires the maximum mobilization of all forces from the entire political system, not simply the responsibility of the Propaganda Department; only then will this work be truly effective.

Building a force to participate in the struggle to protect the ideological foundation of the Party.

One of the important tasks of current propaganda work is protecting the Party's ideological foundation. To do this well, propaganda cadres must have a firm grasp of theory; they must truly understand the practical realities and current state of social awareness, especially in cyberspace – where individuals express their views quite clearly on a particular issue or topic; they must be courageous, skilled, and enthusiastic, because when engaging in direct struggle in social media, they may be "attacked," insulted, and subjected to negative comments by those with opposing views or who are dissatisfied.

Those involved in the struggle to protect the Party's ideological foundation must possess sufficient theoretical knowledge, skills, courage, and sharp intellect to persuade and change those "counter-ideological" viewpoints.

In reality, in Nghe An province, the mobilization of mass forces to participate in the struggle to protect the Party's foundations has long been a priority.cyberspaceIt has been quite effective; however, compared to the demands of the task, the number of truly skilled personnel is still insufficient. This is a difficult issue that needs attention at all levels to ensure the effective protection of the Party's ideological foundation, especially in cyberspace.

Spreading the spirit of selflessness and independence.

Over the past period, the propaganda system at all levels in Tuong Duong district has effectively fulfilled its advisory role and proactively innovated, been creative, and flexible in its propaganda work, creating unity in awareness, thought, and action throughout the Party and the people regarding socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and building the Party and the political system.

Most notably, given the district's unique characteristics, with a deeply ingrained mentality of dependence and reliance among officials and the people, the Propaganda Department of the Tuong Duong District Party Committee proactively advised the Party Committee to issue and directly disseminate and implement the Project "Enhancing Exemplary Conduct and Combating Conservative, Dependent, and Reliant Ideologies Among Officials, Party Members, and the People in the District" into practice; linking it with the promotion, commendation, and dissemination of exemplary models of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought and morality. As a result, the mentality of dependence and reliance among officials, Party members, and the people has gradually changed; and the spirit of self-reliance and self-improvement has been increasingly promoted.

The most concrete evidence of this is the formation and development of many livelihood models among the people, contributing to a 6% annual reduction in the average poverty rate in the district; 4 out of 16 communes have completed the new rural development program. Propaganda work also focused on disseminating information and mobilizing the entire political system and the people to participate in the "Building Drug-Free Border Communes" project, resulting in 2 out of 4 communes achieving the "Drug-Free Border Commune" status; and promoting awareness and combating human trafficking, child marriage, and consanguineous marriage.

Building social consensus

Propaganda work plays a crucial role in Party building: leading the way, accompanying and developing, and following behind to summarize and evaluate.

Each month, the entire district Party Committee selects the 1st day as the day for ideological activities. During this day, the Party committee and local government directly engage in dialogue with the Party committees, village leadership boards, village Front Committees, and representatives of youth and women's branches regarding issues that have been compiled and reflected upon during the month. The 28th of each month is the day for district-level speakers to provide information and updates on the national, provincial, and district situation to support the ideological activities at grassroots Party organizations and the branch meetings of the following month.

The Propaganda Department of the District Party Committee also reviews weekly news reports to serve the leadership and guidance of the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee of the District Party Committee on issues raised in the press; advises the Executive Committee of the District Party Committee to strengthen coordinated propaganda on Nghe An Newspaper and publishes the monthly District Newsletter to serve propaganda work and guide information and public opinion.

In implementing the Resolution of the Nghe An Provincial Party Congress and the Do Luong District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, striving for Do Luong to achieve Type 4 urban status before 2025 and transforming Do Luong District into a town before 2030, Do Luong District has a lot of work to do. The propaganda work needs to be done better in disseminating information and mobilizing the people to agree with the Party's policies in general, and in land clearance work in particular, in order to effectively implement the Party Congress Resolution.
