4 issues of concern in propaganda work

I have a period of time doing propaganda work from city to province. On the occasion of Cultural Thought Day, I have some thoughts about the Propaganda sector.

The first,Nowadays, besides the signs of degradation in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle, affecting the people's trust in the Party, hostile forces at home and abroad are also trying to sabotage the ideological foundation of our Party. Therefore, those who do propaganda work are "shock troops" on the ideological and cultural front toprotect the Party's ideological foundation.

Monday,Along with protecting the Party's ideological foundation, propaganda work must also be at the center of the political task that our Party has identified as "socio-economic development". Ideological work on the economic side must be thoroughly imbued with the socialist-oriented market economy, well-organized economic linkages to create commodity production in accordance with objective laws and socialist orientation. Especially, on the agricultural economic front and the economic development scope of the Western region, if we do not renew our thinking and do not have correct awareness, our agriculture will find it difficult to develop quickly and sustainably and the Western region will find it difficult to rise out of poverty as determined by the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.

Tuesday,Current ideological work must make good use of scientific and technological factors to create new strength in the struggle on the ideological front, because today science and technology allow us to use many modern means that are highly popular and have a fast and strong impact.

Wednesday,Ideological work in particular and propaganda work in general is a front, and this front needs to mobilize the entire force of the entire political system to the maximum, not simply the task of the Propaganda Department; only then will this work be truly effective.

Building forces to participate in the struggle to protect the Party's ideological foundation

One of the important tasks of propaganda work today is to protect the Party's ideological foundation. To do this job well, propaganda officers must have a firm grasp of theory; must truly understand the reality and current state of social awareness, especially in cyberspace - where each individual's views on a certain issue or topic are expressed quite clearly; must be a person with courage, skills, and enthusiasm, because when participating in direct struggles on social network space, they can be "attacked", insulted, and said bad things by people with opposing views and dissatisfaction.

The work of those participating in the struggle to protect the Party's ideological foundation must have enough theory, skills, courage and sharp knowledge to persuade and change that "reverse" ideology.

In fact, for a long time in Nghe An, mobilizing mass forces to participate in the struggle to protect the Party's foundation has been a common practice.cyberspacequite effective; however, compared to the task requirements, the number of truly sharp teams is not much. This is a difficult problem, all levels need to pay attention to ensure the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, especially in cyberspace, is truly effective.

Spread the spirit of not expecting or depending on others

In recent times, the Propaganda sector at all levels in Tuong Duong district has played a good advisory role and proactively innovated, created creativity and flexibility in propaganda work, creating unity in awareness, ideology and action in the entire Party and people on socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, building the Party and the political system.

Most clearly, from the district's characteristics with the heavy mentality of waiting and relying on cadres and people, the Propaganda Department of Tuong Duong District Party Committee has proactively advised the Party Committee to promulgate and directly propagate and implement the Project "Improving exemplary behavior, fighting against conservative ideology, waiting and relying on cadres, party members and people in the district" into life; associated with propaganda, commendation and dissemination of typical examples of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology and morality. Accordingly, the mentality of waiting and relying on cadres, party members and people has gradually changed; the will of self-reliance and self-improvement has been increasingly promoted.

The most concrete evidence is that many livelihood models among the people have been formed and developed, contributing to reducing the average poverty rate in the district by 6%/year; 4/16 communes have completed the new rural construction program. Propaganda work also focuses on propagating and mobilizing the entire political system and people to implement the Project "Building a drug-free border commune" with the result that 2/4 communes have achieved "Drug-free border commune"; propagating and pushing back human trafficking, bad customs of early marriage, incestuous marriage, etc.

Creating social consensus

Propaganda work plays an important role in Party building: Going ahead - paving the way, going together - developing and going behind - summarizing.

Every month, the entire district Party Committee chooses the first day as the ideological activity day. On this activity day, the Party Committee and local authorities will directly dialogue with the Party Committee, hamlet command committee, hamlet Front working committee and representatives of the youth union and association branches on the issues that have been summarized and reflected in the month. The 28th of each month is the meeting day of the district-level Reporters to provide information and update the situation of the country, the province and the district to serve the ideological activity day at the grassroots Party organizations and the following month's Party cell activity day.

The District Party Committee's Propaganda Department also reviews weekly newspapers to serve the leadership and direction of the Standing Committee and the District Party Committee's Standing Committee on issues raised by the newspapers; advises the District Party Committee's Standing Committee to promote coordination in propaganda on Nghe An Newspaper and publish the monthly District Newsletter to serve propaganda work and orient information and public opinion.

Implementing the Resolution of the Party Congress of Nghe An province and Do Luong district for the 2020-2025 term, striving for Do Luong urban area to reach the level of a type 4 urban area before 2025 and turning Do Luong district into a town before 2030, Do Luong district will have a lot of work to do, propaganda work needs to be done better in propagating and mobilizing people to agree with the Party's policies in general, in site clearance work in particular to well implement the Resolution of the Party Congress.
