Global Firepower: Vietnam's fleet has increased by 75 units.
The Global Firepower website has just updated its global military power index ranking, which includes some notable changes regarding Vietnam.
According to the data released by Global Firepower on June 8, 2017, a total of 128 countries and territories were surveyed using the PwrIndx score, but the total number of listed entities has now increased to 133.
The PwrIndx score is assessed based on 50 parameters that significantly determine the ability to cope with conventional warfare, such as factors related to resources, finances, naval, land, and air power, logistics, and population.
Vietnam's PwrIndx score is currently 0.3587 compared to 0.3672 in the previous ranking, showing a slight increase (the ideal PwrIndx score is 0.0000). We remain firmly in 16th place out of 133.
Global Firepower did not specifically explain why Vietnam's PwrIndx score increased, but based on the component data, there has been a notable change.
