Knocking on the door, stabbed wife and sister-in-law

Nha Trang City People's Court (Khanh Hoa) has just sentenced defendant Trieu Thanh Nhuong (43 years old, residing in Tan Hung commune, Cai Nuoc district, Ca Mau province) to 6 months in prison for intentionally causing injury.

Previously, at around 7:50 p.m. on May 28, 2017, Nhuong, his wife Nguyen Kieu Lam, his sister-in-law Nguyen Kieu Trang, Nguyen Van Nghi and Nguyen Thi Ngan were drinking at a rented room in group 6, Hoa Nam, Vinh Hoa, Nha Trang.

At 8:00 p.m. that same day, everyone had gone home. Lam and Trang cleaned up and went to sleep. At around 8:10 p.m., Nhuong stopped by Lam's room. Trang knocked on the door (Nhuong and Lam were separated). Lam and Trang were sleeping and locked the door from the inside. Nhuong couldn't get in so he left.

Around 9:00 p.m. the same day, Nhuong continued to come back and knock on the door but no one opened it, so Nhuong used his foot to kick the door open.

Suspecting that Lam had a relationship with Doan Van Ung, the two argued with each other. Nhuong immediately rushed into the kitchen to get a sharp knife and went to Lam. Seeing that, Trang jumped up and hugged Nhuong's legs to prevent Lam from running away, but Nhuong stabbed her twice in the left shoulder with a knife, so Trang let go, and Nhuong continued to chase Lam.

When Ms. Lam ran to the door of Mr. Nghi's rented room, Nhuong caught up with her and kicked Ms. Lam in the stomach, causing her to fall on the spot. Nhuong rushed forward and stabbed her once in the right neck and once in the left hip, causing Ms. Lam to lose blood and faint on the spot.

Hearing Lam's cry for help, Nghi opened the door and saw Lam sitting at the door and Nhuong holding a knife in his hand. Nghi and everyone else rushed Lam to the emergency room while Nhuong went to Vinh Hoa Ward Police to report his crime.

As a result, Lam suffered 3% disability and Trang suffered 2% disability.
