Authorities are investigating the type of liquid chemical seized along with 120kg of firecrackers on December 15th.
Previously, the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of the Lam Dong Provincial Police discovered an anonymous account on social media that regularly advertised and sold various types of goods.firecrackersDuring the upcoming Tet holiday in 2025, through investigative measures, the police identified the account holder as Nguyen Quoc Phong (born in 1997, residing in Ward 8, Da Lat City), who managed and used the account.
The Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department, in coordination with the Department of Criminal Investigation of Corruption, Economic Crimes, and Smuggling of the Lam Dong Provincial Police, searched the residence of Nguyen Quoc Phong.
Here, the police seized 75 boxes of firecrackers (49 pieces each), 3 boxes of firecrackers (100 pieces each), weighing 117.9 kg, and 6 bags of firecrackers, weighing 2.2 kg. The total weight of the seized items was 120.1 kg.
Nguyen Quoc Phong confessed that he ordered the fireworks online via Facebook and then divided them into smaller portions with the intention of selling them for profit.
At the suspect's residence, authorities also discovered a very large quantity of liquid chemicals, without packaging or labels.
