Collect fireworks at home and then create an anonymous account to sell them
Authorities are investigating the type of liquid chemical seized along with 120kg of firecrackers on December 15.
Previously, the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police discovered an anonymous account on social networks, regularly selling all kinds of drugs.firecrackerduring the upcoming Tet holiday 2025. Through professional measures, the police force determined that the owner of the above account is Nguyen Quoc Phong (born in 1997, residing in Ward 8, Da Lat City) who manages and uses it.
The Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention coordinated with the Department of Investigation Police on Corruption, Economic Crimes, and Smuggling of Lam Dong Provincial Police to search Nguyen Quoc Phong's residence.
Here, the police seized 75 boxes of fireworks (49 pieces), 3 boxes of fireworks (100 pieces), weighing 117.9 kg, and 6 bags of firecrackers, weighing 2.2 kg. The total weight of the seized evidence was 120.1 kg.
Nguyen Quoc Phong confessed that he ordered the above fireworks through Facebook and then divided them into small pieces to sell for profit.
At the suspect's residence, authorities also discovered a large quantity of liquid chemicals without packaging or labels.
