Google has just brought Android users 3 new extremely useful security features. Thanks to these features, users will feel more secure when using their phones, especially in protecting personal data.

These new security features are specifically designed for devices running Android OS version 10 and above, to enhance the protection of users' phones. Through the update from the Google Play store, users will have more useful tools such as remote device location, remote screen lock, and remote data wipe.

In particular, in the unfortunate event that the phone is lost or stolen, these features will help users protect personal information and quickly find the device. Let's take a closer look at each feature to better understand how they work.

1. Theft detection lock

According to Google, this feature works based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology combined with motion sensors such as gyroscopes and accelerometers. AI will continuously monitor and analyze changes in the speed and direction of the phone's movement.

This smart security feature is like a loyal bodyguard, always on duty to protect the user's phone. As soon as it detects unusual signs such as rapid movement or sudden change of position, the system will automatically activate the lock mode. This means that the thief will not be able to access any applications, files or personal data on the user's device.

2. Lock offline device

To combat sophisticated thieves, the offline device lock feature was introduced. If the user’s phone is disconnected from the internet for a long period of time, the system will automatically lock the screen. This means that the thief will not be able to access any data on the device, even if they try to delete or copy the data. As a result, the user’s personal information is always protected, even when the device is not connected to the internet.

3. Remote lock

Remote lock is an extremely useful feature, providing users with an additional layer of security. With just one phone call, users can instantly lock their phone, no matter where they are. This feature is especially useful in cases where users lose access to their Google account or other device search tools. Thanks to this feature, users' personal data is always securely protected, giving users absolute peace of mind.

These new security features made their first test debut in Brazil last August. After a successful beta test, Google will roll them out globally. The final version of these features is expected to be available on all Android devices by the end of this year.

In short, the rollout of these new features reflects Google’s continued efforts to enhance device security and give users more options to protect their data in real time. Whether it’s through automatic locking triggered by suspicious activity or the ability to remotely secure their phones, Android users now have more powerful tools to protect their devices.
