During a search of a shipment of gifts, authorities discovered 400 grams of methamphetamine hidden in shampoo, clothing, and confectionery.
On the afternoon of September 25th, the Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch, under the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department, announced that it had coordinated with other functional units to detect a case of methamphetamine smuggling into Vietnam via air transport.

A 25-year-old female suspect of Vietnamese nationality has been arrested on charges of illegal drug trafficking while undergoing procedures to receive a shipment of methamphetamine disguised as gifts, sent from the United States to Vietnam via air freight at Tan Son Nhat Airport.
Customs officials, after inspecting and searching the suspect's shipment of gifts, discovered 400 grams of methamphetamine cleverly concealed in shampoo, clothing, candy, and nutritional powder boxes, in an attempt to evade inspection by authorities.
The Tan Son Nhat Airport Customs has now handed over all individuals and evidence to the Drug Crime Investigation Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Police for further investigation.
