H'Ăng had to herd cattle and work as a laborer on coffee plantations to help support her family.

"My childhood dream was to be a primary school teacher, and the higher I went in my education, the more I wanted to become a successful person and bring value to the lives of the people in my hometown," H'Ăng Niê shared.

Despite language barriers, economic hardship, and even family prejudices, the Ede girl persevered in her studies, reading books and improving her Vietnamese language skills. Beauty pageants became an unexpected springboard, as H'Ăng Niê saw an opportunity to showcase her ethnic group's cultural identity to the wider world, while also helping the elderly and children in her hometown through charitable projects.

H'Ăng Niê's journey of participating in eight beauty pageants is proof of her perseverance. There were times when she wanted to give up, but she was motivated by her teachers and mentors and kept going. Each competition was a valuable lesson, and each failure was an opportunity for growth.

I always used that as motivation to try even harder. Healthy brown skin is a source of pride for the Ê Đê people in particular and the entire Central Highlands community in general," H'Ăng Niê confided.

But it was precisely these challenges that motivated H'Ăng Niê to rise strongly. She transformed her weaknesses into strengths, turning criticism into inspiration to prove herself. The title "Black Pearl" of the Vietnamese modeling industry is given to H'Ăng Niê not only because of her physical beauty but also because of her preciousness and rarity – a pearl forged from willpower and an unyielding spirit.

"I consider myself an 'ambassador' of the Ede ethnic group, bringing the unique colors and culture of the region to a wider audience. I am always ready to support cultural projects in the Central Highlands," H'Ăng Niê affirmed.

In the age of social media, where controversies and public pressure can easily weigh heavily on a celebrity, H'Ăng Niê chooses to handle every situation calmly and gently.
