Hanoi: Phuc Xa flower wharf, resplendent at the foot of Long Bien bridge, becomes a new sunrise viewing spot.
Once a polluted floodplain, Phuc Xa flower wharf has now been renovated into an ideal destination for watching the sunrise and taking Tet (Lunar New Year) photos, right near the heart of the capital city.
Phuc Xa Flower Wharf, located right at the foot of the historic Long Bien Bridge (Hong Ha Ward), has become a popular destination attracting many locals and tourists in the early days of the year. It's not only a new check-in spot but also an ideal space to watch the sunrise and sunset over the Red River.

Vibrant flowers bloom amidst the alluvial plain.
Located less than 2 km from the center of Hanoi, Phuc Xa flower wharf appears like a vibrant painting with many types of flowers planted intertwined. Most notably, the rows of sunflowers are in full bloom, expected to last for about two weeks. Alongside them, carpets of cosmos flowers also display their colors, creating a dreamy scene amidst the expansive riverside landscape.

This is the result of a collaborative effort by the Women's Union, the Veterans' Association, the Youth Union, and the people of Phuc Xa ward. Compared to previous years, this area has received more substantial investment in terms of plant varieties and the arrangement of flower beds.
Experience watching the sunrise in winter weather.
Despite the low morning temperatures in Hanoi over the past few days, ranging from 10 to 13 degrees Celsius, the flower market remains crowded between 5 and 6 a.m. Many young people are willing to wake up early, prepare their traditional ao dai dresses, and hire private photographers to capture the first moments of sunrise.

Ms. Huong (50 years old) shared that her group of friends chose this place because of its convenient location, spacious atmosphere, and especially because there is no entrance fee. This is a big plus compared to many other service flower gardens in the capital.
The story of revival born from the dedication of the people.
Few people know that, before becoming as vibrant as it is today, this riverside area was severely devastated after a major flood, leaving behind a thick layer of mud and garbage that caused serious pollution. This miraculous transformation owes a great deal to Mrs. Ngat (78 years old), a local resident.

Ms. Ngat and the residents of the ward voluntarily contributed funds and effort to reclaim the land and experiment with various waterlogged plant varieties. After two failed attempts due to harsh soil conditions, her efforts succeeded on the third try, transforming the barren alluvial plain into the flower garden it is today. In addition to flowers, the residents also utilize the empty spaces to grow green vegetables for their families.
