Hanoi ranks among the top 19 most affordable travel destinations in the world.
According to a ranking by the travel website Hoppa, Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, ranks 4th out of 19 of the world's cheapest travel destinations.
To select the cheapest travel destinations in the world, Hoppa compared the average daily cost per person for transportation, food, and hotel accommodation. Specifically, the website calculated the cost per traveler for a 3km taxi ride, one night's stay at a hotel, and one meal.
In addition, the average amount a tourist would spend on a glass of beer, a cup of coffee, and a bottle of wine has also been included in this cost.

Accordingly, Hoppa has selected 19 of the world's most affordable destinations, ranging from beautiful countries with long coastlines in Southeast Asia to charming cities in Eastern Europe, to suggest to travelers.
Ranked 4th on this list, Hanoi is considered one of the ideal destinations for a budget-friendly trip. According to calculations by the website Hoppa, the cost for a tourist per day in Hanoi is: taxi $1.72, hotel $58.31, a meal $15.23, and total expenses for beer, coffee, and wine $12.22. In total, each foreign tourist spends only about $89.25 for a day in Hanoi.

Leading the list of the 19 cheapest destinations in the world is Budapest, the capital of Hungary. According to Hoppa's calculations, the total cost for a tourist in Budapest for one day is $57.01, including $6.57 for a taxi, $32.83 for a hotel, $27.66 for a meal, and $8.38 for drinks such as beer, coffee, and wine.
Besides Hanoi, only Bangkok in Thailand is the only Southeast Asian destination to make it into the Top 5 cheapest destinations in the world, according to Hoppa.
