From August 30th to September 2nd, residents and tourists in Hanoi will enjoy free bus and metro rides, in celebration of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

Hanoi offers free rides on all buses and two metro lines.

Hanoi People's Committee announces that from August 30 to September 2, 2025, all 128 subsidized bus routes and two metro lines, Cat Linh - Ha Dong (2A) and Nho Son - Cau Giay (3.1), will be free for residents and tourists.

Passengers will still be issued single-trip tickets, monthly passes, priority tickets, or free passes as usual, but they will not have to pay for tickets during this period.

The support policy aims to reduce travel costs, better serving the needs of those participating in parades, processions, and visiting historical sites during National Day.

Public transport operators in Hanoi will increase trip frequency, extend operating hours, and monitor traffic flow to meet peak demand.

Adjusting the Hanoi metro schedule.

To better serve the public, Hanoi's metro lines will change their operating hours:

August 29th: 5:30 AM - 12:00 AM (midnight).

August 30th: 5 AM - 10 PM.

September 1st: 5:30 AM - 12:00 AM (midnight).

September 2nd: trains will run continuously from 0:00 to 22:00, with a 6-minute interval between trips during peak hours and a 10-minute interval during off-peak hours; only stopping for 80 minutes for technical maintenance.
