Hanoi offers free bus and metro tickets on National Day September 2
From August 30 to September 2, Hanoi residents and tourists will be able to travel free on buses and metro to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day.
Hanoi offers free buses and two metro lines
The Hanoi People's Committee announced that from August 30 to September 2, 2025, all 128 subsidized bus routes and two metro routes Cat Linh - Ha Dong (2A), Nhon - Cau Giay (3.1) will be free for residents and tourists.

Passengers are still issued single tickets, monthly tickets, priority tickets or free cards as usual but do not have to pay for tickets during this time.
Support policies aim to reduce travel costs, better serve the needs of participating in parades, marches, and visiting historical sites on the occasion of National Day.
Public transport units in Hanoi will increase trip frequency, extend operating hours and monitor traffic to meet peak demand.
Adjusting train schedules in Hanoi
To serve the people, the metro line in Hanoi will change its operating time:
August 29: 5:30 am - 12:00 pm.
August 30: 5am - 10pm
September 1: 5:30 am - 12:00 pm.
September 2: run continuously from 0:00 to 22:00, every 6 minutes during rush hour, every 10 minutes during normal hours; only stop for 80 minutes for technical maintenance.
