Le Huu Hoang and Bui Quang Luat often participated in community groups of Vietnamese people working in Japan, looking for Facebook accounts of strangers, then hacking Facebook accounts and pretending to be the Facebook account owners, texting relatives and friends of the Facebook owners to defraud and appropriate property.
By hacking Facebook accounts of users, these criminals have defrauded and appropriated hundreds of millions of dong.
According to the records, from March 2018 to June 2018, Le Huu Hoang and Bui Quang Luat hacked the Facebook accounts of 2 people in Nam Dinh province, stealing a total of 103 million VND. The money they stole was converted into virtual money to play games.
Upon receiving the report, the Criminal Police Department of Nam Dinh Province Police quickly investigated, verified and arrested Le Huu Hoang and Bui Quang Luat to clarify the act of using computer networks and telecommunications networks to defraud and appropriate property.
Currently, the Criminal Police Department of Nam Dinh Provincial Police is continuing to investigate and expand the case.
