Hackers attack Democratic Party computer systems again.

(Baonghean.vn) - A hacker calling himself "Guccifer 2.0" claimed early this morning (August 13th) to have infiltrated the computer system of the Democratic Party's Campaign Committee, and published a list containing phone numbers, passwords of committee members, and other campaign documents.

One of the documents that the hacker publicly released was a list containing the names, email addresses, and phone numbers of all Democratic members of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Guccifer 2.0 also uploaded three documents along with passwords to log in and search the Democratic Party's campaign committee documents. He sent "special thanks" to several committee members because, thanks to their email addresses, he was able to obtain these newly released documents.

“Guccifer 2.0” wrote on his personal page: “You will see American elections become a farce, a grand political show where voters are far from having a decisive role. Everything is rigged behind the scenes, just like in the case of Bernie Sanders. I wonder what will happen to true democracy, to equal opportunities – the things that make us love America.”

“Media campaigns are underway to cover up the truth. But I truly believe that everyone has the right to know what’s going on during the campaign. In short, these are campaign documents from the Democratic Party’s computer system. You can view them,” the intruder noted alongside the publicly available documents.

Guccifer 2.0 ironically notes that passwords like "welcome" or "democrat" are repeated many times: "Nevertheless, the complexity of these passwords is admirable."

Guccifer 2.0 also claims to possess leaked documents from the Democratic National Committee, similar to what Wikileaks has published.

Washington continues to accuse the Russian government of being behind the attacks on the Democratic Party's computer systems. An unnamed Obama administration official said on August 11 that the U.S. is considering imposing new sanctions on Russia over the incident.

Although the Democratic National Committee accused Russia of bypassing the servers' security systems, the intruder admitted to acting alone.
