Hacker who sent text messages saying 'your child is as stupid as a cow' has been arrested.

Police have identified the person who hacked into the "electronic communication book" of Ba Dinh Secondary School (Hanoi) to send derogatory messages to parents.

On September 28th, the Ba Dinh District Police in Hanoi announced that the mass sending of derogatory messages to parents of students at Ba Dinh Secondary School was carried out by a hacker. The suspect is a university graduate with knowledge of information technology.

On the afternoon of September 25th, the police received a report from the school's leadership stating that at approximately 4:30 PM that day, messages from the school's "electronic communication book" were sent to many parents with the content: "Your child is as stupid as a cow. I don't understand if you even know how to teach your child anymore?"

The derogatory remarks angered the recipients. The school subsequently apologized to the parents, explaining that the system had been hacked.

On the evening of September 25th, with the assistance of the Cybercrime Prevention Police Department (PC50), the Ba Dinh District Police identified and summoned the suspect. During questioning, the young man admitted to the act. However, the motive for the intrusion and sending the messages has not yet been disclosed by the authorities.

"We sent emails to the school's parents to let them know that the incident was caused by a hacker attack," an investigating officer said.
