Two brothers headed a drug trafficking ring dealing in 799 blocks of heroin.
From a hired courier of contraband, Vien branched out to establish his own drug trafficking ring. With the support of his brother, the 8X-generation kingpin successfully trafficked nearly 800 blocks of heroin.
On April 21, the Investigation Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security completed its investigation into the case of Chu Van Vien (33 years old, from Lang Son province) and his accomplices for illegally trading 799 blocks of heroin.
Nineteen people involved have been charged with illegal drug trafficking. Among them is Chu Dinh Tuyen (39 years old, Vien's brother).

According to the investigation, Viện, who was originally a motorbike taxi driver, was hired by some acquaintances to illegally transport drugs. Seeing the high profits from trafficking prohibited goods, he established his own drug trafficking ring.
To be close to his younger brother, Tuyen stopped trading agricultural products from Vietnam to China to run nearly two dozen "agents" involved in heroin trafficking. This group continuously smuggled large quantities of illicit goods from the Northwest region to the border area of Lang Son province to deliver to their Chinese partners.
On December 4, 2014, in Cao Phong district (Hoa Binh province), police caught two of Tuyen's accomplices red-handed transporting 45 blocks of heroin illegally.
Expanding the investigation, authorities identified 19 individuals involved in this drug trafficking ring. After 22 successful transactions, Chu Dinh Tuyen and his brothers, along with their accomplices, had sold 799 blocks of heroin.
Working with authorities, the defendants confessed to having repeatedly traveled to Son La and Hoa Binh provinces to purchase drugs at a price of 150 million VND per package. Upon bringing them to the Vietnam-China border, they resold them to foreign partners for 55,000 Yuan, equivalent to 200 million VND per package.
