Two suspects escaped while receiving treatment at the hospital.
Taking advantage of being taken for medical treatment at Quang Ninh General Hospital, two detainees escaped.
On the evening of January 12th, a private source revealed that the Office of the Criminal Investigation Agency (PC44) of the Quang Ninh Provincial Police is investigating and pursuing two fugitives who escaped that morning while receiving treatment at Quang Ninh General Hospital.
The first suspect is Nguyen Minh Thanh (29 years old), admitted to the hospital in early December 2017 with a diagnosis of duodenal ulcer, congestive gastritis, and intercostal neuralgia. The second suspect is Hoang Cao Cuong (30 years old), admitted to the hospital in mid-December 2017 with a diagnosis of glomerulonephritis and nephrotic syndrome. Early this morning, hospital staff discovered that the two suspects were no longer in their room. The hospital has filed a report on the incident.
According to sources, the two suspects are being held separately on the eighth floor of the hospital, surrounded by a wall and with a locked gate.Director of Quang Ninh General Hospital, Trinh Van Manh, declined to comment on the incident. "The Provincial People's Committee has assigned me to this task, so I am not allowed to speak," Mr. Manh said.
