The sunflower fields on the way to the summit of Fansipan or the flower fields in Thai Binh are trending on travel forums.

Sunflower hill in Sapa

Besides visiting Fansipan peak by cable car, enjoying mountain cuisine, or staying in incredibly beautiful homestays, tourists visiting Sapa can now add a new, very popular check-in spot among young people: the sunflower field in the Fansipan Legend tourist area. This is a complex of tourist attractions, entertainment venues, cultural sites, and resorts that you shouldn't miss when visiting Sapa town.

The newly opened sunflower hill, which opened at the beginning of June, covers a vast area of 15,000 square meters, stretching from the entrance of the tourist area to the train station. It is estimated that nearly 2 million sunflowers are planted systematically in rows along the hillside, creating a natural and beautiful landscape. The sunflower hill was built right next to the Muong Hoa mountain railway station, which was also inaugurated during the Lunar New Year. Visitors can enter and take souvenir photos free of charge.

Interspersed among the neatly arranged flowerbeds are unique thatched-roof huts. At this time of year, the flowers are preparing to bloom profusely. You'll be able to admire the sunflowers amidst the mountain scenery, appearing and disappearing among the romantic clouds.

However, please be mindful not to disturb nature, avoid pushing between the flower beds, and refrain from stepping on newly planted seedlings.

Sunflower fields in Thai Binh

Previously, in the North, if you wanted to take photos with sunflowers, you had to travel all the way to Nghia Dan (Nghe An). Now, however, there's a sunflower paradise right here in Thai Binh that not many people know about. Located within the EPC Farm tourist complex in Song Lang commune, Vu Thu district, Thai Binh province, about 7 km from Thai Binh city, the sunflower field covers an area of approximately 2 hectares. Recently, especially on weekends, many groups of tourists from Hanoi and neighboring provinces flock here to visit and take pictures.

Besides sunflowers, the farm also has many other types of flowers such as cosmos, marigolds, chrysanthemums, etc., planted interspersed to create a dreamy atmosphere. The owner of the flower garden said that they started experimenting with planting them at the beginning of this year. With the aim of transforming this place into an ecotourism destination and experiential farm for visitors, the flower garden is currently open free of charge for two weeks before closing for further construction. The farm is expected to be completed and open to visitors around August-September this year.

Although it's only in its trial phase, photographers have already spread the word and shared the location of this photo studio on various forums. The flower garden is located at the foot of the embankment, next to the church, creating an ideal setting for taking Instagram-worthy photos. The flowers here are as tall as an adult, with large blooms, and are planted in neat rows.On average, the flower garden welcomes about 400-500 visitors per day, with peak days on weekends reaching up to 3,000 people. Not only young people but also many couples have quickly chosen this flower field in Vu Thu district as a location for wedding photos.

Although not yet officially open, this flower field is already welcoming hundreds of visitors every day. Photo: Doan Long Photography
