On the afternoon of August 12th, in Thai Quang hamlet, Nghi Thai commune (Nghi Loc district), two young men on a motorbike were seen using a rod to catch dogs. Immediately, villagers shouted and chased after them. After running for about 100 meters, the suspects encountered 18-year-old Le Van An from Thai Cat hamlet, Nghi Thai commune, who was walking home in the opposite direction. Suspecting An was the one who had stopped them, the suspects repeatedly struck him on the head with an iron rod before fleeing, causing him to fall into a ditch and lose consciousness.
