Two children escaped death after their mother threw them out the window of a burning apartment.
Neighbors caught the two children using bedsheets from their fourth-floor apartment, while the Chinese mother was unable to escape due to inhaling too much smoke.

Two brothers in Xuchang County, Henan Province, narrowly escaped death after their fourth-floor apartment caught fire on the morning of August 3rd, thanks to their mother's last ounce of strength in throwing them out the window, Henan Provincial Television reported.
The two children, a 9-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl, were received by neighbors using bedsheets from downstairs. However, the mother was found unconscious in the apartment. She died at the hospital.

According to witnesses, the mother, along with her son and daughter, were trapped inside the house when the fire suddenly broke out. Video footage from a passerby shows the mother initially throwing two bedsheets over the balcony for neighbors to use to catch her children.
Then, the mother threw her son and daughter out the window one after the other. After catching the two children, neighbors urged the mother to jump, but the woman gradually fainted from inhaling smoke.The PaperHe said.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found the mother inside the apartment. The mother and her two children were then taken to the hospital at the same time.
Neither child suffered serious injuries; the girl only needed a simple leg surgery, but the mother did not survive.
