In addition, acting chairman Le Cong Vinh also recruited many famous players such as Phi Son, Sam Ngoc Duc, Thanh Diep, Van Thanh, Ngoc Thinh, Van Thuan... all these contracts will be officially announced by Ho Chi Minh City FC at the ceremony on January 5th.
With these quality additions, Ho Chi Minh City FC will certainly be very strong in the 2018 V.League. This is also the opinion of coach Le Thuy Hai, who believes that next season the team under chairman Le Cong Vinh could win the championship or at least finish in the top 3.
"Hiring a fitness coach is very good; clubs all over the world do it. Of course, having a foreign coach is also excellent. The important thing is having money, training conditions… and everything else. In my opinion, hiring someone like that is good. I believe that with such people and such a good coach, Ho Chi Minh City FC will definitely be first, second, or at least in the top three next year," quoted coach Le Thuy Hai on Tri Thuc Tre.
Coach Miura previously worked with the Vietnamese national team, so he has some understanding of Vietnamese players. Japanese coach Ono Shingi once commented: "Whether it will be successful or not, we cannot make a judgment right now. However, Mr. Miura has experience coaching the Vietnamese national team, so he has a good understanding of Vietnamese football. This is a great advantage, as his experience can be used to develop many things, thereby helping Ho Chi Minh City FC become stronger."
According to expert Le Thuy Hai, despite his experience working with the national team, Miura will face significant challenges when transitioning to the V.League. This is because at the club level, the players are not a collection of the best quality names. The playing style and long-term strategies are also quite different from working with the national team.
