9X mother and daughter participate in inter-district lottery line

(Baonghean.vn) - The Nghi Loc District Police Investigation Agency has just dismantled an inter-district lottery ring, temporarily detained 4 suspects, and seized 14 million VND and many related assets.

To combat the emergence of a number of lottery dens that affect local security and order, the leaders of Nghi Loc District Police decided to establish a special project with code number 194D, headed by Major Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Deputy Chief of District Police.

By professional measures, on April 25, the investigation agency had sufficient grounds and urgently arrested Nguyen Thi Hoa (born in 1962), residing in Hamlet 12, Nghi My Commune. Searching the subject's residence, the task force seized 14 million VND, 05 mobile phones, 01 fax machine, 02 lottery boards, 01 lottery cable.

Fighting with Nguyen Thi Hoa, the investigation agency clarified a lottery ring consisting of many subjects in Nghi Loc district and Vinh city.

On April 26, the investigation agency issued an emergency arrest warrant for 3 subjects: Dang Thi Oanh (born in 1989), residing in Hamlet 1, Nghi Lam Commune; Nguyen Thi Nhung (born in 1990), residing in Hamlet 14, Nghi Kim Commune and Nguyen Ngoc Oanh (born in 1955), residing in Block 5, Hong Son Ward, Vinh City, seizing many related exhibits including: 04 mobile phones, 01 Ipad, 03 scoreboards.

The subjects confessed: in early 2017, Nguyen Thi Nhung and Dang Thi Oanh participated in recording lottery numbers and then transferring them to Nguyen Ngoc Oanh. Mr. Oanh provided information for Nhung and Oanh to transfer lottery numbers to them using their personal accounts from the website LD789.net.

In addition to directly recording lottery numbers, Nguyen Thi Nhung also persuaded and attracted many people to participate in recording lottery numbers for her to benefit, including Nguyen Thi Hoa, Nhung's biological mother. Dang Thi Oanh also persuaded and attracted many other people to do this for her, including Dang Van Toan (born in 1966), residing in Hamlet 1, Nghi My Commune, and Tran Thi Thien (born in 1989), residing in Hamlet 1, Nghi Lam Commune.

The investigation agency determined: from April 12, 2017 until the subjects were arrested, the amount of money related to the subjects' criminal acts was 109,135 million VND.

Currently, the Investigation Agency is criminally detaining Nguyen Thi Nhung, Dang Thi Oanh, Nguyen Thi Hoa and Nguyen Ngoc Oanh to continue investigating and expanding the case.
