A mother and her child died in their well on the 26th day of the Lunar New Year.
(Baonghean.vn) - Local authorities in Nghia Hanh commune, Tan Ky district, reported that a mother and her child were found dead in a well in their home.
The victims are Ms. HTT (born in 2004) and her 5-month-old son, LHN, residing in Nam Son hamlet, Nghia Hanh commune, Tan Ky district.
According to initial information, Mrs. O. (Ms. T.'s mother-in-law) woke up at 3:30 AM on January 17th to make rice noodles in preparation for going to the market. Before going to the market to sell, at around 5:00 AM that same day, Mrs. O. stopped by Ms. T.'s and her husband's room but only saw Mr. C. (Ms. T.'s husband), not Ms. T. or baby N.

Suspecting something was wrong, she woke the whole family up to search for the mother and child around the house. Upon reaching the well, they discovered N.'s scarf floating on the surface, and the whole family panicked and reported it to the local authorities.
Authorities quickly arrived at the scene. After more than two hours of pumping water out of the well, they found the body of child N. Around 8:00 AM the same day, they discovered another body.bodyof Ms. T.
Authorities have now handed over the bodies of the mother and child to their family for burial.
