The Vietnamese Navy has acquired a new pair of modern missile attack ships.

The M5 and M6 are the most modern, highly maneuverable, multi-purpose fast attack missile boats of the "Lightning" class.

On April 14th, Ba Son Corporation successfully launched the modern M5 and M6 missile boats after 30 months of construction. These missile boats were newly built under a contract signed with the Vietnam Navy.

The M5 and M6 are the most modern, highly maneuverable, multi-purpose fast attack missile boats of the "Lightning" class, equipped for the Navy to enhance combat power and firmly protect the sovereignty of the nation's seas and islands.

Thanks to the initiative and efforts of the staff and engineers of Ba Son Corporation, the two ships were launched simultaneously, saving tens of billions of dong and completing the plan 8 months ahead of schedule.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Truong Quang Khanh, Deputy Minister of National Defense, praised the efforts of the officers and workers of Ba Son Corporation in completing the shipbuilding project on schedule.

Two missile boats were successfully launched.

"The officers, engineers, and workers at Ba Son need to coordinate with the Navy and foreign experts to continue perfecting, assembling, synchronizing, adjusting, testing, and accepting the equipment and weapons systems so that the ships can be put into live firing on schedule and meet the requirements," Mr. Khanh requested.
