Two military helicopters collided in the air
At least five people have died after two military helicopters collided mid-air and crashed near a lake in southern France.

Investigators said two military helicopters crashed near Lake Carces, about 50 kilometers northwest of the town of Saint-Tropez in the Var region.AFPreported. The incident happened around 9am this morning.
"Two helicopters crashed. One had three people on board, the other had two people on board. All were killed," police said in the nearby town of Brignoles.
The French military confirmed the information. The two helicopters that crashed are believed to be Aerospatiale Gazelles, a model commonly used by the French military. Var authorities said the two helicopters belonged to the Ealat training school, which trains military pilots.
