Couple dumped neighbor's body in sewer
After failing to rape a woman in Dak Lak, a man killed her and dumped her body in a sewer with his wife.
On September 4, Dak Lak People's Procuracy completed the indictment to prosecute Nguyen Van Thu (46 years old, in Ea Pil commune, M'drak district) for the crime ofMurder, RobberyandRape;Vu Thi May (46 years old, Thu's wife) on chargesConcealing criminals.

According to the indictment, on the afternoon of November 11, 2017, Thu was working in the village when she saw Ms. Pham Thi Phuc (41 years old, living nearby) going into the sugarcane garden with a man. Ms. Phuc requested Thu to confiscatesecretly "confided" with a stranger and promised to give 2 million dong.
The next afternoon, Thu called to ask for the money and was asked by Mrs. Phuc to come to her house to give it to her. When they met, he asked for sex but was refused. Seeing the neighbor run away, Thu chased after her, grabbed her hair, pulled her to the floor and beat her to death.

That evening, the wife helped her husband carry the victim's body onto the motorbike, so Thu could take it to the sewer to dispose of it.
