(Baonghean.vn) - The TASS news agency, citing AFP, confirmed that the Palestinian Hamas movement is now ready to extend the humanitarian ceasefire that came into effect on November 24.

The source cited by AFP confirmed: "Mediators are making active efforts, which are still ongoing, to achieve another day of ceasefire and are working to extend the ceasefire agreement for a few more days."

The humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, which came into effect on November 24th, was initially planned to last four days, then extended, and most recently extended for another day on November 30th.

In another development, TASS reported that Hamas accused Israel of refusing to accept the bodies of three Israeli hostages killed in an airstrike on the Gaza Strip.

Hamas issued the statement in the caption of a video showing one of the hostages, which the group posted on Telegram. The caption read: "His wife and two children were killed in an attack by Israeli fighter jets."

Hamas said it had “offered to hand over the bodies of three people killed, but Israeli authorities refused to accept them and continued to delay and bargain.”

Al Hadath television previously reported that Hamas planned to release six hostages from the Gaza Strip and hand over the bodies of three Israelis by the end of November 30. Prior to that, radical groups in Gaza had released two female hostages, who have since returned to Israel.

Hamas also announced the identities of 30 prisoners that Israel plans to release later on November 30 under a hostage exchange agreement being held in the Gaza Strip. The list includes eight women and 22 teenagers. This is the seventh group of prisoners released by Israel under the ceasefire agreement with Hamas.
