A giant nativity scene made from thousands of bamboo poles welcomes Christmas in Nghe An.
(Baonghean.vn) - To celebrate Christmas 2019, parishioners of Ke Gai parish, Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district, designed and assembled a giant nativity scene made from thousands of bamboo poles and countless plastic bags. This is one of the most unique projects in Nghe An during this Christmas season.

| A giant grotto, erected in front of and to the right of the Kẻ Gai parish church, resembles a rocky mountain. The grotto is dozens of meters long and about 15 meters high. |

| The cave has multiple levels, and you can reach the top via a bamboo-paved path about 1 meter wide that runs from one side of the cave to the other. |

| According to parishioners, the parish prepared for months in advance to create this Nativity scene, gathering materials, designing, and constructing it. Every day, parishioners worked in teams.
