A series of officials were disciplined for allowing forests to be destroyed.

The Kon Tum Provincial Party Committee Office has just issued a document announcing the results of disciplinary action against groups and individuals responsible for the destruction of protective forests in Mang Den, the border between Kon Plong and Kon Ray districts.

Accordingly, the Kon Tum Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee disciplined two party members: Mr. Nguyen Kim Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Kon Tum province; and Mr. Nguyen Van Nam, Deputy Head of the Kon Tum Provincial Forest Protection Department.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Kon Tum province disciplined 15 officials and civil servants of the Kon Ray District Forest Protection Department and the Kon Ray Protection Forest Management Board. Of these, eight were reprimanded, seven were warned, and the head of the Kon Ray Protection Forest Management Board was transferred to another job.

The Standing Committee of Kon Ray District Party Committee disciplined the Kon Ray Protective Forest Management Board Party Cell and 11 Party members in the cell, of which 10 were reprimanded and one was warned. Recently, the above units and individuals lacked close supervision and neglected their duties, allowing many forest encroachments to occur at 15 locations with an area of ​​over 5.2 hectares in the protective forest of Mang Den Pass area.
