Mai Linh officially has motorbike taxi

Mai Linh Bike - the motorbike taxi technology application of Mai Linh Group officially started operating in 3 major cities: Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City from November 20.

Thus, in addition to the two currently popular technology-based motorbike taxi services, GrabBike and UberMoto, people can experience another technology-based motorbike taxi service owned by Vietnamese businesses.

According to Mr. Ho Huy - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mai Linh, to prepare for official operation, Mai Linh Bike was previously tested for about 2 months by the unit's employees and drivers. This application was built by Vietnamese technology engineers.

Similar to familiar technology-based motorbike taxi services on the market such as GrabBike and UberMoto, passengers using Mai Linh Bike will also know in advance information about the driver's full name, photo, phone number, license plate number, etc.

Regarding fares, Mai Linh Bike is not much different from GrabBike and UberMoto. This unit affirms that it will not increase prices during peak hours.

Specifically, for the regular type, Mai Linh Bike applies a price of 11,000 VND/first 2 km and 3,700 VND/next km. For the Premium type (with better service), the price applied is almost double the normal price, with 20,000 VND/first 2 km and 7,000 VND/next km.

To attract drivers to participate, in the first 2 months of launching the Mai Linh Bike service, the company will waive the fee for drivers. After that, the rate that drivers pay to Mai Linh is 15%.

Drivers who want to become Mai Linh partners must go through a training course and, upon acceptance, pay an account maintenance fee of VND100,000.
