Thousands of tourists from all over the world came to the Hang Bua festival in 2017.

Bua Cave Festival is a traditional cultural activity rich in identity of the Thai people in Chieng Ngam Muong, one of the 9 large Muongs of Quy Chau district. The festival was restored in 1996 and has been held annually by the local government and people since then.

The festival space is a large land at the foot of Pha En mountain, where there is the most famous relic of Hang Bua in the western part of Nghe An. The festival is associated with the legend of the people who came to open the village and establish the village in the past. They are the three brothers Xieu Bo, Xieu Ke, Xieu Luong - who have the merit of reclaiming the land, bringing water to the village and commanding the people to fight against bandits. The land is also associated with the legend of the love story of the hero Khun Tinh and the girl Ny. This place also witnessed the famous battles of the Lam Son uprising in the 15th century. This is also the area of ​​activity of Can Vuong soldier Lang Van Thiet in the late 19th century. The relic was granted the certificate of "Historical and cultural relic - scenic spot" by the Ministry of Culture - Information in 1997.

Before the opening ceremony, a grand ceremony took place at Muong Chieng Ngam Temple with the participation of local leaders and many visitors from near and far.

The 2017 Hang Bua Festival took place on February 16, 17, and 18 (ie January 19, 20, and 21 of the lunar calendar). Before the opening day, a number of activities took place, such as the performance of the Thai people's Xang Khan ritual, and art competitions by communes, towns, and many agencies and units located in the area.
