(Baonghean.vn) - These days, trucks carrying essential goods for Tet have arrived in the highlands. However, the amount of goods consumed is slower than in previous years.
At this time, in the mountainous and border areas of Que Phong district, it is easy to see small traders' cars loaded with goods, food, and provisions from the lowlands to import to agents and kiosks to supply people for Tet shopping.

Mr. Duẩn, the owner of a grocery truck in Thái Hòa town, is importing goods for small traders in Quế Phong district. He said that his truck can carry 5 tons of various goods, usually for agents in the communes of Tri Lễ, Châu Thôn, Châu Kim... and it will be sold out in 2 days. He expects to import about 30 tons of goods for Quế Phong district from now until the Lunar New Year.
According to Mr. Duẩn, this year the amount of goods imported by small traders for sale is less than in previous years. Most of the items have remained the same price, only a few items: beer, instant noodles, Red Bull drinks... have increased slightly.
However, sales volume is very slow compared to previous years.

At Quy Chau market, although there are many goods, the number of people coming to buy is very low. Ms. Que, who sells clothes in the market area, said: The consumption of goods is slow, so we do not dare to import many goods...
Ms. Ngoc, who sells various types of rice and groceries, added that because of the low number of customers coming to the market, her Tet goods have also decreased compared to last year. Last year, she stored 5 tons of rice, but this year, she only stored 3 tons of rice, and all types of sticky rice have remained the same price, while regular rice has increased by 200 - 400 VND/kg.
