Hundreds of students participate in extracurricular program to help save electricity.
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Power Company, Con Cuong Power Branch, in coordination with Primary School 1, Chau Khe commune, organized the extracurricular activity "Primary School Joins Hands to Save Electricity" in 2018.
During the extracurricular activity held on the afternoon of November 23rd, students were educated about knowledge and solutions for saving electricity, such as: turning off lights and unnecessary electrical appliances when leaving the room; completely turning off the power when not using appliances; using energy-consuming appliances (refrigerators, air conditioners, water heaters, etc.) rationally; using appliances labeled as energy-saving, etc.

"Primary School Joins Hands to Save Electricity" is an extracurricular program aimed at helping primary school students gain a deeper understanding of electricity conservation in particular and energy conservation in general. This will foster a generation of young people with a civilized lifestyle and a full awareness of energy saving, contributing to the community's efforts in implementing the "Joining Hands to Save Electricity for the Benefit of the Community" and "For a Green Earth Today and Tomorrow" programs.

On this occasion, Con Cuong Power Company awarded 10 gifts to 10 students from disadvantaged backgrounds who achieved high academic results, each gift worth 200,000 VND. At the same time, the school summarized and awarded prizes to 5 class groups and 10 individual students with the best entries in the competition on understanding the electricity saving program.
