Hundreds of people in Chau Binh fought forest fires during the night.
Late in the afternoon of April 10th, a forest fire broke out in the area bordering Chau Binh and Tam Hop communes.
According to Mr. Lo Xuan The, Chairman of the Chau Binh Commune People's Committee, the fire occurred in the forest area of Ke Nam village, bordering Chau Binh and Tam Hop communes.

Upon discovering the fire, the Chau Binh Commune People's Committee mobilized more than 200 people, including forces, commune officials, and local residents, to approach the forest fire area and make efforts to create firebreaks to prevent the fire from spreading.

The weather outside was extremely hot and windy, making firefighting very difficult and dangerous. It took a long time to basically create a firebreak.

By nearly 10 PM, authorities and local residents were still unable to extinguish the forest fire.
