Tens of thousands of people flocked to the central streets of Hanoi, staying up all night singing revolutionary songs in a heroic atmosphere while awaiting the September 2nd parade.

On the evening of September 1st, the atmosphere in central Hanoi became unusually lively. Tens of thousands of people gathered along Dinh Tien Hoang, Hang Bai, Trang Tien, Hang Khay streets and the area around Ba Dinh Square. The best spots to watch the parade on the morning of September 2nd were already full.

What was remarkable was that the crowd seemed sleepless. They continuously sang patriotic songs like "As if Uncle Ho were present on this joyous day of great victory," creating a heroic and moving atmosphere.

People arriving from the provinces spread out mats and tarpaulins to cover the waiting rooms, lobbies, and even the space under the stairs to rest overnight. Many families took the opportunity to have dinner right there with the food they had brought with them.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong (45 years old, from Bac Ninh) shared that her family stayed up all night watching the dress rehearsal and this time decided to "camp out" at the station from morning to have a place to rest and secure a good spot.

The hospital installed large screens for patients to watch the ceremony.

Joining in the festive atmosphere, Bach Mai Hospital installed a large screen so that patients and their relatives could watch the parade live. This activity aimed to care for their mental health, bringing joy and national pride to those undergoing treatment.

Mobilize maximum resources to maintain urban hygiene.

To prepare for the grand celebration, the Hanoi Urban Environment Company (URENCO) mobilized its workforce to work 24/7. They added 800 garbage bag holders and 53 mobile toilets at crowded locations.

Many residents also proactively brought plastic bags to collect trash, contributing to maintaining public hygiene and promoting the image of a civilized, clean, and beautiful Hanoi.
