Dark motives, evil intentions.

According to Buddhist philosophy, a lowly and wicked person is someone who constantly schemes and plots to harm others. According to Vietnamese morality, violating the spirit of the deceased is strictly forbidden. Filial piety is paramount; once a person has passed on to the eternal realm, the only thing to do is pray for their soul to attain liberation and pure land. If someone intentionally acts against traditional morality and offends the spirit of the deceased, they will not be forgiven by heaven or earth and will sooner or later face retribution.

Sadly, however, there are still those who see the passing of Party, State, and Armed Forces leaders as an opportunity to criticize and judge their backgrounds, careers, and contributions to the revolution with shameless words. Clearly, from a moral standpoint, these are heartless, inhumane, and unacceptable actions.

Perhaps everyone understands that the ulterior motive behind that evil act is the conspiracy and scheme of hostile and reactionary forces aimed at distorting and undermining the Party, the State, and the people of Vietnam – those who are living and continuing the traditions of their forefathers.

From the deceased's life, career, and contributions; their illness, treatment, and even their final moments; to the organization of their funeral... everything is analyzed and commented on through numerous articles, images, and videos posted on social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube.

To attract viewers, they use catchy phrases in the titles of their articles and videos, such as: "shocking," "terrifying," "horrific," etc. Serving their dark motives and malicious intentions, most of the information disseminated by these hostile elements is distorted, exaggerated, and misrepresented. Despite lacking any basis or evidence, they brazenly fabricate, distort, and concoct sensational stories, even incorporating mystical elements, related to the revolutionary service and work relationships of the deceased. From these, they speculate and make assumptions about the deceased's political ideology, economic, cultural, and social views; national defense and security; foreign relations, etc., and then attribute and conclude that the deceased wanted the country to develop in a certain direction; what ambitions for power and position; which faction they belonged to; who supported them and who they supported. close ties with certain countries;… with the aim of sowing doubt and inciting public opinion.

It is against both morality and law.

There are many things that deserve condemnation regarding the actions of those utterly heartless individuals as described above. But morally, perhaps two things cannot be ignored: distorting the truth, fabricating lies, and insulting the honor and dignity of the deceased; and spreading false accusations and slandering the family and relatives of the deceased official.

According to Buddhism, both blessings and misfortunes follow the law of karma, created by human actions. Do those who commit evil deeds understand this, so that they can avoid the calamities that befall them?

Not only are the actions of these unscrupulous individuals immoral, but they also seriously violate Vietnamese law. According to Vietnamese law, anyone who abuses the right to freedom of speech to insult the honor, dignity, and reputation of a deceased person is committing a legal violation. A deceased person has the right to protection of their honor, dignity, and reputation under Article 34 of the 2015 Civil Code. Accordingly, the protection of the honor, dignity, and reputation of a deceased person can be carried out at the request of their spouse or adult children; if none of these individuals are present, then at the request of the deceased's parents... In addition to compensating for damages caused by the infringement of the honor, dignity, and reputation of the deceased, those who commit such offenses may also face criminal prosecution if their actions affect the security, safety, social order, and laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

On the other hand, the act of using social media to infringe upon honor, dignity, and reputation as mentioned above also violates the Cybersecurity Law and Government Decree No. 15/2020/ND-CP on regulations for administrative sanctions in the fields of postal services, telecommunications, information technology, and radio frequencies.

Don't fall for their tricks or help them.

To achieve the good life we ​​enjoy today, the entire Vietnamese nation has shed countless sweat, blood, and tears fighting against internal and external enemies. More than anyone else, the Vietnamese people deeply understand the value of peace, independence, and freedom; the value of the strength of national unity… No matter how sophisticated, deceptive, or deeply vengeful their schemes may be, the tricks of those unscrupulous and immoral individuals who exploit the passing of Party and State leaders to undermine Vietnam cannot deceive genuine Vietnamese people.

With their true, deceitful, and treacherous nature, hostile and reactionary elements never cease plotting and devising new, increasingly sophisticated, deceptive, and cunning schemes, tactics, and methods to adapt to different situations, targets, and circumstances in order to undermine Vietnam.

In light of this reality, it is crucial for Party committees, governments, and functional agencies at all levels to strengthen coordination, regularly innovate, and promote propaganda and education to raise public awareness of the schemes and tactics used by hostile and reactionary forces to avoid falling prey to their schemes and assisting them in spreading false information. This will enable people to proactively and actively participate in the struggle to thwart the attempts by hostile and reactionary forces to exploit the passing of former leaders of the Party, State, and Armed Forces to undermine Vietnam.

In particular, it is necessary to strongly promote the role of press and media agencies, promptly providing official information affirming the background, career, and contributions of Party and State leaders and armed forces to the revolutionary cause; resolutely and persuasively refuting all distorted, slanderous, and subversive arguments of hostile forces.

On the other hand, the reality shows that there is collusion between inside and outside the country to carry out this insidious scheme. Public opinion hopes that the authorities will coordinate investigations to clarify the vile plots and dirty tricks that go against morality and violate the law by hostile, reactionary, opportunistic, and politically disgruntled organizations and individuals both inside and outside the country, in order to strictly punish them according to the law. Management agencies must constantly monitor closely and grasp all developments in cyberspace to promptly detect, prevent, and handle harmful and toxic information, and apply technical solutions to remove false and harmful information from social life.

Through concerted efforts and coordinated measures, all conspiracies and schemes within the "peaceful evolution" movement aimed at undermining the Vietnamese revolution in general, and the tactics of exploiting the passing of Party and State leaders and members of the armed forces in particular, will inevitably fail.
